Procrastinating

Yes...it is true. Wedding plans are at a stand still mostly because

1) Thanksgiving, I'm cooking it by myself for 2 men
2) Mom is out of town via I can't make decisions with out her!

I do have the STD done they just need to be sealed and mailed, also waiting addresses.

*sigh*

Tired Bride

P.S. Dec 1st-7th I will be in Alabama visiting the latest addition to my family.

S.T.D. noo not that....

SAVE THE DATE CARDS!
My hands have been cramping for the last couple of days, I've been writing, cutting tying these STD cards...and I'm NOT done!
Believe it or not I bought these cards (without the translucent paper and bow) with my sister Cashel in Alabama in APRIL ...before I was engaged, we liked them so much at target. PLUS they were on CLEARANCE!..I'm glad I bought them!

My Brilliant Idea!

Growing up in the Parker family we had 2 Kerosene Oil Lamps. (see above)
We lit them during Hurricanes, or Christmas. The oil could range from Red to Green colors.
I use to love playing with the wick in the lamp to see how high or low I could get the flame, until Dad told me to stop.
Tonight I got this BRILLIANT idea!
Why not use Oil Lamps as part of my centerpiece!!
So tonight I went browsing online trying to figure out how much they range, They are anywhere from 50-600 dollars..untilllllll I found this one site that has 13inch oil lamps for $6.00!!! It would cost me about 70 dollars to do all my tables! Not to bad for Chelsey's wedding!
I will still have traditional flowers along with the lamps for the centerpieces. I think it's going to give it a real Colorado homey feel. Which is exactly what I want! Plus it's different from the typical candle!
OH and I can have BLUE lamp oil to add COLOR!
YAY!

34 Years

Happy Anniversary to my parents.
They celebrate 34 years of marriage today.

I am thrilled to have them as role models for Bradley and I.
I am honored that I get to mimic their wedding colors at my own wedding.
Hopefully one day I will have a family as big as theirs!

Our Wedding Date..

June 15th, 2009!

The Lodge at Cathedral Pines

Colorado Springs, Colorado

Watch out save the date cards are coming your way...

Dress Up Fun!

Here are the TOP 3 Flower girl dresses. I really love the chocolate brown dress, except I think I want them in ivory/white to match me. The pink one in the middle can be changed for brown flowers. the white one is just PURE princess
Ella LOVED trying on the dresses. she had to test them by twirling in them. She was SUCH a poser!

I really loved this one too..real flowy..gah to hard there all too cute!
The dress in pink fit her better, but the brown would be the color I would get.

OK ...Bridesmaid dresses. This was a hard one, we need one really great for curves in all places. We found the heavier material just "stuck" to all the wrong places. We decide this was our favorite, except I will be getting it in a long gown vs. short. It will be an expresso brown color.
We have the option of doing a halter or straps as seen in pictures below.

blurry picture sorry!

Cropped head for Heather's sake :)

This one was just TOO funny!!
